Mr Clare

"I can't fault this company & their crew in any way. They worked very well as a team & were extremely polite. I couldn't have selected a more efficent removal company than Weston & Edwards. I have no hesitation in recommending this company & their crew to other people moving home. The crew worked hard & they made moving home such an ease. "

Mr and Mrs Weeks

"Can you please pass on our grateful thanks to Gary and Chris for all their hard work yesterday. Everything went like clockwork, and they took the stress out of the day with their pleasant attitude and energy, they are a credit to you! Also thanks to the people behind the scenes who do all the booking and logistics. A job well done, many thanks. Colin and Glenis Weeks. "

Mrs Orde

"Thank you for sending me the e-mail below with the good news that my brothers shipment was due to arrive in the USA yesterday, 27 August. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your very efficient and personal service - you made the experience far less stressful than I had expected which is very much appreciated. "

Angela Kilmartin

"From first to last Weston and Edwards have provided very pleasant staff, helpful and smiling personalities both on phone and in person, efficiency and helpfulness at every turn. The crew is capable of taking decisions under unusual and difficult circumstances and anyone using this firm will have a stress-free home move. Thankyou everyone."

Mr and Mrs Dale

"We chose Weston and Edwards because of helpful conversations, friendly emails which gave us confidence that we were dealing with a company that had local knowledge and we could put our trust in. The decision was a good one."

Mr and Mrs Kendall

"First and foremost we would like to say a BIG thank you to all at Weston and Edwards for helping to make our recent move run smoothly. Tom and John were amazing, and like a comedy duohad us in stitches at their camaraderie! Many thanks to them for doing a wonderful job (and a very hard job) whilst still being cheerful!"

Jo Foster

"I want to say a huge thank you to Ablemove for such an amazing service. We've used other moving companies over the years and never had anything like the service we got from you, start to finish. I wanted to say an especial thank you to the two guys that moved our stuff on Monday - I'm sorry, I was so stressed that I instantly forgot their names as soon as they introduced themselves! They were absolutely fantastic - and funny, they made us laugh which was great on moving day. I didn't get a chance to thank them or say goodbye at the time because I was busy with my baby, but I'd be grateful if you could pass on my thanks to them and wish them all the best. "

Mr and Mrs Van de Hoef

"I felt I had to write and thank you for the excellent service your two operatives provided on the day. They couldn't have been more helpful which was greatly appreciated by my Husband and I, and we would have no hesitation in using your company again in future or recommending you to others. "

Generally, there are three main choices for packing:

- You can pack everything yourselves, in which case we can supply all the cartons and packing materials.
- We can pack everything.
- We can just pack your breakables and you pack the remainder.

Whatever you require, the choice is yours!

D.I.Y. Packing
Click Here To Zoom In On This Image If you choose to pack the smalls and breakables yourself, we can supply all the boxes and packing materials that you will need.  These can be delivered well in advance of your move to give you plenty of time and not have a last minute rush.  The cartons are flat and do not take up much room until you need them.  They simply need to be taped, with the tape supplied.  All cartons can be kept by you and returned or collected by us only when you have finished unpacking and it doesn't matter how long you take

Top tips when moving house...

1. Get a quotation well in advance. Either complete our quotation form or make an appointment with our removals estimator. Proper planning ensures a smooth and trouble-free move.

2. If you have time, get rid of all your unwanted items and rubbish in advance - it's lovely to move into a new home, without unwanted clutter.

3. Doing your own packing? Anything that will fit into a box should be packed. Other loose items, garden tools for instance, can be taped together. Don't overfill the boxes. It's best to use our cartons as they are tailor-made for the job.

4. Items can be left in drawers if they're not too heavy, and if the drawers are removable (Our chaps can take the drawers out, put the carcass in the truck and replace the drawers to cut down the amount of packing that you have to do)

5. Freezers can usually stay full. Perhaps put the food in bags/baskets, so that if we struggle, we can take the food out prior to loading, and put back in for transit. We are often able to plug in the freezer on an overnight move.

6. Keep all keys (filing cabinets, safe, wardrobes) together in a safe place.

7. Self-assembly furniture is best dismantled before moving.

8. Prepare a survival pack for the things you will need on moving day - toys, kettle, passports and for the first day in your new home ie: bedding. Keep this separately and make sure the removal men know.

9. Let your mover know beforehand if you haven't managed to get your packing done, got rid of stuff or anything else you haven't asked for in your removal quote. That gives us time to make the necessary arrangements.

10. Make sure your removal company is aware of any access difficulties at either property.

11. People to notify of your change of address: Doctors, dentists, banks, Gas, Electricity, Royal Mail, phone company, D.V.L.A (Driving licence), Friends and relatives!

12. Check that we are available before you commit to a moving date.
